Absolutely! I don't think it will take five years for them to start banning the sale of electric cars because of their environmental impact. I remember when there was a huge push for biodegradable products in cars. A whole generation of Mercedes vehicles were made with biodegradable wiring insulation. A two ton vehicle was made inoperable by making a few grams of insulation degrade within a decade or two when the rest of the vehicle could last much longer. Chrysler sold 300k+ dodge darts from 2012-2016. I haven't seen one on the road in at least a year. They all disappeared in like six years. I'm sure a few exist and are still running, but I haven't seen them.
