Just don't require everything to have a battery cover. It's okay if you have to unscrew the back to open the device.

In fact, screw on covers are usually lighter, more durable, and less bulky than slide/snap covers without fasteners. So yeah, I definitely agree.

Ironically cheap Chinese battery powered Christmas lights have a screw on cover, probably because cheap battery covers don't stay on well. I'll admit my Tascam DR-05 battery cover comes off way too easily.

I really miss being able to remove the batteries from muh sail foam. It felt like I had some degree of privacy at least.

I dropped my newer one in a puddle recently and would have liked to have been able to pull the battery out.

The excuse phone manufacturers gave for switching to non-removable batteries was so that they could make them more waterproof.

I don't spend much on cell phones to begin with, since I just plan to replace after 2 years when the battery capacity becomes unbearable.

Ive never had to replace cuz of batteries. For me its always massive lag, after the computer I'm forced to use as a phone slows down with updates and the like
