Nobody charges between 4 and 9 pm anyway because that's peak pricing on electricity. Everyone charges overnight when it's cheap*.

And driving further than 300 miles or so. Even in that example California's asking people not to charge, not shutting off the power to chargers. It's kind of like last year when they were asking people on the East Coast not to buy gas.
