A 2018 Prius Prime is not an fully EV but a plug-in hybrid bud. A VW TDi diesel will get the same mileage if not better and never have to worry about the expensive battery and a waitlist to get one. The fact is you are not saving any money buying a fully electric car. The Tesla model 3 and Y are 55K for the base model. Only an imbecile would spend this kind of money on an inferior vehicle and then claim they are saving money, lol.
It's full EV if you don't drive more than about 35 miles a trip. My average is about 150 mpg over the last 17,000 miles. No Diesel is doing that.
It's not a full EV, it has an engine. Save that money on fuel because that will go back into the vehicle when you need a new battery.
Been drinking a 2012 Prius plug-in for 167,000 miles and 11 years. Didn't need a battery yet. Shit, it still has the original brake pads and 12V battery. Toyota things. People who drive other cars don't even believe it - they're so used to junk they can't accept the existence of non-jink.
