Is the guy a moron, or just hoping his viewers are? Solar farms are rated in megawatts because that's how all fucking power plants are rated. It's the max output you fucking dolt.
Then the fucking retard says megawatts don't tell you how much power it can produce. Dude, the Watt is a fucking unit of power you fucking illiterate idiot. The kWh is a unit of energy. How can you expect people to take you seriously about the topic of energy vs. power when you don't even know the fucking difference?
Then he goes on to show his ignorance about panel efficiency and nameplate ratings. No, a panel that is 22% efficient doesn't mean the real output is 22% of the nameplate ratings you dildo. It means it converts 22% of all solar radiation that falls onto it into electricity. A 1.4m2 panel with 22% efficiency would generate 310W at noon at the equator. It will probably have a 310W nameplate rating. The A/C power you get from that will be less because of losses in wiring, connections, and inverters. You'd probably get about 300A/C Watts.
This is just one reason I hate videos of shit that should be a written article. It's a good sign that someone's an illiterate idiot when they can't write a coherent article about the thing they want to talk about.
And after all you just wrote, the guy's central point remains valid -- solar power does not deliver what its proponents claim it can deliver.
How much energy do its proponents claim it can deliver?
