It'd probably shock a lot of people to learn that modern Class 8 CMVs are stupid easy to hotwire. I won't tell you how, but you can figure it out if you really needed to do it. Just be sure to disable the ELD if you're going to do it illegally. I've done it to a truck as recent as a 2019 Kenworth T680. Newer shouldn't be any different, for any of the American makes. In every case where I've done it, it was either purely legal or on the iffy-side of grey.
