And that's fine, as long as the end user understands that this software exists at the pleasure of some far-off corporation. I don't have any problem using the collaboration software that my employer chose, but we're all aware that said software could go away tomorrow. That's the biggest problem, the end user thinks it's going to be there forever. All the schools that created courses using Google Wave or Outlook Express found out, but I doubt they learned anything from it.
