I opted out of TV 24 years ago. I don't see how anyone can put up with any advertising, especially if paying for the privilege. Streaming services force their browser and promotional stuff. No thanks.
The only time I have watched "TV" in the last ~20 years is when I am stuck in a hotel traveling. It shocks me how much advertising there is all of the fucking time. I don't understand why anyone puts up with that garbage.
And it’s all advertising for drug companies, with fat people dancing. Insufferable.
Same here. I had a break up and didn't bother buying a TV when moved out. I realized very quickly that I didn't miss it at all. All these years later I just pirate any movie I want to watch which are getting fewer and farther between or pick up blurays of old shows from the 90s and before if I really feel like watching something.
TV and streaming have become useless to me. I do have a TV in the bedroom now but it just plays stuff off my NAS. I do have an antenna on it but I used it the day I got it and marveled at all the stations I could pick up here but never used it again. I think it may have even fallen out of the window...
