I thought proton was a known Honeypot?
All I have heard is that they can be compelled by the Swiss police to turn over records of user activity and IP addresses. That’s all the information they can collect on their users. You can hide your IP address by creating and using your account entirely in TOR browser.
ProtonMail cannot read the contents of your messages. They only know the message times and who they were sent to and from.
So they say. I use them, so take it for what it’s worth, but I think any product that comes onto the scene as well developed as they were should be suspect. **
