  • Julian Assange confirms “no substantial connection” to Trump and that Russiagate was a successful strategy by Hillary Clinton to deflect attention from her own financial ties to Russia, the money the Clinton Foundation received after she approved the sale of “20% of US uranium reprocessing rights to a Russian company to be exported to Russia.”

The New York Times reported in 2015 that "shortly after the Russians announced their intention to acquire a majority stake in Uranium One, Tony Podesta stepped down because of these indictments. “Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager’s lobbying group was lobbying for the Kremlin inside the United States.”

  • This figure is confirmed in the WaPo quote above.

  • , which he “failed to disclose” when he joined the Obama administration and “divested” by giving them to his daughter’s firm. (Must watch, one of the highlights of the video.)

On Jan. 18, 2011, a small green-energy company named Joule Unlimited announced Podesta’s appointment to its board. Months later, Rusnano, a Kremlin-backed investment fund founded by Vladimir Putin, pumped $35 million into Joule. Serving alongside Podesta on Joule’s board were senior Russian official Anatoly Chubais and oligarch Ruben Vardanyan, who has been appointed by Putin to a Russian economic modernization council.

WikiLeaks documents reveal that when he joined the Obama White House, Podesta transferred his Joule shares to an LLC controlled by his adult children. He also resumed communicating with Joule and Joule investors after leaving the White House and joining Clinton’s campaign. In fact, he received an invoice from his lawyers in April 2015 — a consent request for Dmitry Akhanov of Rusnano USA to join Joule’s board.

There’s also this inconvenient fact: In 2016, Russia’s largest bank, Sberbank, where Joule board member Reuben Vardanyan formerly served as head of its investment banking division, had a $170,000 lobbying contract with the Podesta Group — which is owned by John Podesta’s brother, Tony Podesta.

  • If that sounds familiar, that’s because that’s exactly what the Democrats are trying to impeach Trump for doing. The Ukrainian embassy “rebuffed both requests because it recognized they were improper efforts to get a foreign government to try to influence the election against Trump and for Hillary Clinton.”

Democratic Congressman tries to dismiss it as a conspiracy theory, but Krystal Ball isn’t having it:

It’s not a conspiracy theory. We know that Hunter Biden did in fact earn $50k

Hunter intends to resign from the BHR board of directors on or by October 31, 2019.

Hunter will agree not to serve on boards of, or work on behalf of, foreign owned companies.

But why, Hunter? Clearly there’s nothing wrong with you sitting on foreign companies’ boards while your father’s influencing US policy in Ukraine and China. Why would they care that your dad’s VPOTUS? They wanted you for your legal expertise, I’m sure, just like because those fluff pieces she wrote for them were Just. That. Good.

Saagar again:

Every single person watching this program knows that the fact that Hunter was involved in these deals is unseemly and a problem. The media excuses it because it’s just so run-of-the-mill for them and not worthy of any real scrutiny. Because that’s just how this town works, after all.

Consider how routine Hunter’s position is. In 2002 George W. Bush’s brother Neil Our system is infiltrated, corrupt and rotten. And Hunter is just the latest embodiment of this.

Democrats and the media are fooling themselves if they don’t see just how much more there is. And while all this is going on, Elizabeth Warren’s entire candidacy is predicated on rooting out corruption and shutting down the interests of the powerful. But she can’t condemn this in full. What does it actually tell us about her?

  • Elizabeth Warren’s response to the Hunter Biden scandal.

  • —and the people suffering there never saw a dime.

  • “They had to shut that fund down, it was illegal, what they were doing.”
