Trump was an OK choice, given his celebrity status, because the guy wasn't a celebrity due to his acting or singing. He's a celebrity simply due to his personality. He didn't get to the top of his game by again, acting and singing... Trump commanded a successful business empire. Trump had the credentials to do the job of being President of United States.
