That moment, when the last tiny bit of hope you thought you still had, gets mercilessly crushed forever... Makes me think the entire post-election trump anti-fraud campaign that ended with such an anticlimax was part of a psy-op. Letting us know they are fully in control might have been a deliberate and very effective demoralization campaign.

There's a good documentary you should watch called "Hypernormalization." Basically it's about how the world is just too complex now and so all the people in power just try to maintain the status quo and avoid any major changes.

The main strategy they use is keeping everyone in a constant state of confusion, where they don't know what's true and what's not. There's the overriding feeling that everything is false, so everyone just feels dejected and exhausted and no one really tries to do anything.

It was pioneered by Putin's right hand man for many years, a "political technologist" called Vladislav Surkov. Surkov was a theatre student who basically ended up mind controlling all of Russia for many years. Super clever guy.

It's a super long documentary but well worth the watch. The stuff about Surkov comes in the last 30 mins or so.

Today at work the fag luvers were running around high fiving and doing this little giggity gay fist bump thing. The guys in maintenance where I work didn't talk much about the current situation. Boss man said shit got to be fixed, plant has got to run. Focus on the job at hand. But output was for shit. Line was celebrating, claiming union is coming back to make things right. All I thought then was I'm fucked. They will close or cut jobs till union is gone. Btw, I'm not union but pay a small exempt fee each period for the privilege of working there. Crazy times
