How do you cope with it?
My strength comes from God, not myself, or other men.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
There is right and wrong, there is a moral code. Learn that, and you will have a rock to stand on while the rest of the world allows itself to be tossed to and fro. Know what is right, and you will easily recognize what is counterfeit.
1 Corinthians 3:11 For no one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Why do you think the first thing they attacked was morals and the faith? A moral, faithful people are too strong to destroy. They need confusion and chaos in order to bring us down. Don't let them lead you into the chaos.
Mark 3:25-26 If a kingdom is divided against itself, it cannot stand. If a house is divided against itself, it cannot stand.
There is nothing they can do to me that matters in the end, so why live in fear of them?
Matthew 10:28-29 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.
It will get much worse before it gets better, but they will fail in the end. That's not an excuse to cop out though, and not take a stand against it, but be mindful of the truth, and don't let them drag you into the chaos and corrupt you. Don't let your emotions control you, as that is how they seek to get control over you. They want you to be outraged, and to act out of anger or fear, and bring you into their irrationality.
Romans 12: 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
And finally, if you already know the truth, and you know what's coming, what is there to fear? And frankly, what is this life compared to what is to come after?
Matthew 24 4-13 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved."
