Have you tried going to your local Manpower or equivalent? Temp work. It's what I've done between jobs. You go sign up with them and then they place you wherever needs a temp at that time. Pretty good shot of work. If you're good, some place might keep you.

I'll have to look into this, I tried a few but they mostly delt with computer tech and stuff like that.
