My wife is a cosmetologist and cuts my hair and beard before each interview.
Sorry, but lose the beard. My company has a no facial hair rule. Just sayin. Cover your tattoos as well. Visible tattoos aren’t allowed at my work either.
I always cover my tats and my beard doesn't really make a difference. Most places I go there are guys with beards.
Thanks for not thinking I was being a dick. It’s a hard thing for me to not be a dick. I really was wondering just what the problem is. One thing I can say, as an employer, is when people come from really far away to apply, (which I think you said you had been reaching out further and further), I am worried they will have trouble getting to work, or very quickly tire of the wage not compensating for their lengthy travel. You might just have to get out of that rural setting like you said. Idaho is booming, but they have caught up to Northern California housing prices anywhere near Boise. Maybe not in rent, but in purchasing for sure. I’d suggest coming to Northern California where I am, but everyone is leaving here. I’m not. Not yet. When I do it will be Arizona. Good luck to you. I wish I could help.
