Idk bout that me and a few of my friends got sticks. Most of my cars have been sticks and I live in America where they're not really common. Automatics are boring and less controllable in inclement weather imo.
Less controllable in all situations. Always useful being able to drop a gear to overtake or get up a steep incline. And shifting gears is hardly some huge effort so I’ll never understand the appeal of automatics.
I guess you have never been in a 2-hour stop-and-go traffic jam..
Autos offroad allow you to focus on other things. And offroad there's a lot of other things to focus on. Other than that....
Autos can pick best gear way faster than a human can. It's just up to how well the tranny computer is programmed is the issue
Stop and go traffic is a pain in the rear with a manual.
Automatic transmissions are safer than standard-shift transmissions. You can keep more of your attention on the road with an automatic.
Had a 1960s Peugeot with a 4-on-the-tree. Reverse was a knuckle buster if y' weren't careful.
Pretty sure it works on niggers too
