Took my 3/tree F100 to the tire shop for new shoes. The rough and tumble biker dude, tire tech, had to have me drive in to the lift. Made me lol

3/tree= anti millennial theft device

Idk bout that me and a few of my friends got sticks. Most of my cars have been sticks and I live in America where they're not really common. Automatics are boring and less controllable in inclement weather imo.

Less controllable in all situations. Always useful being able to drop a gear to overtake or get up a steep incline. And shifting gears is hardly some huge effort so I’ll never understand the appeal of automatics.

Automatic transmissions are safer than standard-shift transmissions. You can keep more of your attention on the road with an automatic.

Had a 1960s Peugeot with a 4-on-the-tree. Reverse was a knuckle buster if y' weren't careful.

Pretty sure it works on niggers too

In high school, my friend had an F100 he fixed up. Didn't like the column shift so cut a hole in the floor and installed a floor shifter. To this day there's two things he regrets: adding that floor shifter and selling that truck.

My father told me that when column shift became available for cars, it was like a miracle. For decades the Big Three in Detroit had been tryin to move the shifter from the floor to the steering column, and at last they finally managed to do it. And guess what? People didn't like it. Go figure.

My dad worked in a garage back in the day. Said one day, this guy was driving down a steep hill and the car started going out of control so the dude shifted into reverse. Gears and metal shot up through the floor.

Had a 76 chevy with three on the tree and a tommy lift.

I've never seen one of those in person, I'd like to try it sometime

My favorite feature is when you look under the hood, it’s clean and simple.

There is nothing as satisfying as clean engineering. was probably my favorite from the body shop days. The engine bay is beautiful, everything else is shit though. Their manuals also piss me off, apparently Italians have tiny Asian women feet because I couldn't drive it, the pedals are so close together I'd keep snagging the brake.

A pain in the ass at first, but really not bad.

It seems like it would be weird, I'd love the opportunity to try one. I've driven all kinds of manuals and they're all different in their own ways, I think it's really fascinating to see how they all compare.

I had a three on the tree chevy truck my first vehicle
