My husband and I have closets full of extremely nice clothes - many of which cost us less than what T-shirts and jeans go for today. Yes, it takes internet time and knowledge of where the best deals and sales are, but it's easy to do when you're not a lazy pig.
are you calling someone a lazy pig? because it sounds as if someone is a glutton.
Yes, someone who can't bother to clean themselves up in public is a glutton - expecting the respect of society while providing none in return.
okay, flying toadstool. dressing casually does not mean someone is a glutton. being dirty is not gluttony.
however, having closets full of awesome clothes reeks of something akin to gluttony. and just to remind you (and this is a quote from my wise father) "you can dress a gorilla in an armani suit, but you still have a gorilla." clothes, much like makeup, are often ploys of deception.
i am still chuckling over the fact that you think the show mad men is an accurate depiction of life in the past.
where are you going that tees and jeans are more than ten dollars?
I buy neither - as I do see them for those prices on the rack and am told by others that is what they spent, I assume they are telling the truth.
If you are paying only ten dollars, that's great as they are not worth any more than that.
let me rephrase.
where are you going where you see the clothes on the rackthat are more than ten dollars
