are you calling someone a lazy pig? because it sounds as if someone is a glutton.
Yes, someone who can't bother to clean themselves up in public is a glutton - expecting the respect of society while providing none in return.
okay, flying toadstool. dressing casually does not mean someone is a glutton. being dirty is not gluttony.
however, having closets full of awesome clothes reeks of something akin to gluttony. and just to remind you (and this is a quote from my wise father) "you can dress a gorilla in an armani suit, but you still have a gorilla." clothes, much like makeup, are often ploys of deception.
i am still chuckling over the fact that you think the show mad men is an accurate depiction of life in the past.
I agree.
I'm female and clothes are really expensive. Im in my mid-20's and still have mostly hand-me-downs from middle/high school.
My friends who dress really well tend to have nice cars, nice clothes, nice PCs and nik-knacks. Instead I bought a house, made a 5k emergency fund, and put 10k+ invested in the stock market thats growing each month.
I do want to slowly start buying nicer clothes, but it's hard to change an entire wardrobe when I want to continue my monthly investments elsewhere. I don't think it makes me a slob, just not a rich person.
Well, I'll laugh at someone who doesn't understand first person recollection. Enjoy your smelly clothes, just don't expect respect.

Your father wasn't wise. He probably had you when he was 12 years old.
Clothes are practically a reflection of you as a person, your soul, your character, how much you care about yourself and others, plus more. Deception? That's only a fractional part of it, plus it's a matter of perception.
Stop wearing tie-die shirts your fat hot-dog eating faggot.
