There are so many well thought out responses to this. This one makes a ton of sense
It occurred to me not long ago that NPCs can't enjoy music. A guy I was talking to said "I don't like metal because I can't follow it." I responded, "You mean you can't enjoy each instrument individually and contemplate their interactions because it's too fast?" He looked at me like I was a serial killer. This was around the time that it was revealed that redditors are NPCs incapable of actual thought. They have no inner monologue and can't visualize. Their reactions are strictly based on social programming and instincts.
Around that time I was listening to Mgła and my gf said it was boring. It occurred me to me she was incapable of understanding that the drums are the melody. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcsTJ1n2jkE She couldn't hear the individual cymbals and how the backbeat was being woven into the fabric of the fills, all she could hear is a wall of noise with droning guitars and inarticulate lyrics. All the dynmics were lost on her due to her (slightly above) average intellect. Something like a Djembe drummer with a rhythm of literally only 2 sounds she could follow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMs3LTtgwY8
to be fair, a player of the cymbals and drums is just a glorified infant beating on pots and pans in his parents kitchen, which is why it resonates so strongly with blacks; if it must be included, it must be treated like salt, not like your example where is equal in importance to the guitar.
