My hospital made an updated religious exemption form that includes all sorts of caveats such as “note: a religious exemption does not include scientific, philosophical, or sociological objections. …. please note that any misrepresentation or fabrication of one’s deeply held religious beliefs can result in corrective action”
They’ve obviously talked to their team of hospital lawyers about how to go about this. It will be very hard to prove that you have a religious belief in court, especially if you’re not a member of any church, etc.
If you do go for a religious exemption, don't say anything else. Don't mix a religious exemption with other reasons for not getting the vax, such as it not being safe. Don't explain your religious exemption: the more you say the more rope you give them to deny you the exemption.
Just state that you object on religious grounds. NOTHING ELSE.
