There seem to be so many "miraculous" stories out there of people who've defied the medical industry and recovered from serious conditions only to not be believed down the track. I was wondering if there are people here on poal who can share their own medical remedies that have worked for them.

I was diagnosed with arthritis in my hand, my thumb actually, and was told I would have it for life and there is no cure.

I didn't believe that doctor at all and went on with my life. It went away about 6 months later.

I didn't actively do anything to treat it other than believe it would go away.

Mind over matter has some practical effects that never ceases to amaze me.

I almost think it was some bacterial infection and she misdiagnosed. I don't know for sure but it is strange anyways. I am not discounting mind over matter. She was a very young doctor...
