There seem to be so many "miraculous" stories out there of people who've defied the medical industry and recovered from serious conditions only to not be believed down the track. I was wondering if there are people here on poal who can share their own medical remedies that have worked for them.

I had very painful sciatica from a dock building accident. A physical therapist I knew gave me a magnet to wear on my belt. It stopped hurting in a half hour. I wore the magnet for two weeks and my sciatica never hurt again!

Good question. Not all magnets are the same. It was 1/8th of an inch thick and about 6"x4". It was a specific magnet that physical therapists use. She told me it cost $100 and that was in 1996. Whatever it cost it was worth it.
