I need to lose weight big time. My mid 30’s have been hitting me like a ton of bricks

A great way to start is switching one meal to a snack, whichever meal works best for you.

Instead of a full plate, have a protein shake, or a couple pieces of jerky and a small hunk of cheese, big swig of kefir, or a banana with a cup of oats and butter, a few chicken wings with sauce.

Pick one meal at least twice a week to downsize. Hunger is partly a mental game because your digestive organs have a small neural network around it, to allow the billions of digestive bacteria to communicate with your brain. Whatever your digestive bacteria want in order to survive will be communicated to your brain. The key to changing diet is to do it slowly, but steadily. It's like climbing back down a mountain, every step deliberate and according to a plan.

I lost nearly a hundred pounds, years ago, and it's still gone. It takes a lot of self control, especially for someone who likes to cook as well as eat. I have to say that I owe at least the beginning of my success to the late Dr. Atkins (RIP). He showed me that I really could eat as much as I wanted to, I just couldn't eat whatever I wanted to.

Sumo wrestlers?

They have to practice a lot everyday, and force themselves to eat so much calories per day (10,000) from a special diet.

I have a friend in Japan who has told me that because the Japanese never traded chickens they never got infected by the salmonella bacteria so they can eat chicken raw.

I don't think I could stand the texture of raw chicken though.

I think only a small percentage of chicken has a salmonella problem. If you ate some raw chicken right now, you'd probably be okay.

The only meat I'll eat is from sea fish, sea food and beef.

I tried raw chicken and it doesn't have a nice taste, at least to me.

Grilled chicken is so much tastier.

Addiction is sad and difficult to shake off. Those fatties are pathetic, depressed, they are coping with they shitty lives by eating, because it is easy and it gives them instant pleasure. Our society isnt adapted to what the world has become
