One of the biggest ironies is that you would think that ever one of these charging stations would have covered parking with solar panels on it to keep you cooler and to generate more power but I have yet to see a single one designed like that in person.

Well, obviously. The EV owners are just mad that they have to admit their cars are actually powered by Diesel and Coal. While they sit all smug thinking "look I am so good for the environment".

No you fucking moron. You just changed where the pollution was taking place and you are even WORSE by orders of magnitude because of the massive amount of loss over high transmission lines needed to deliver that power generated a hundred or more miles away to your stupid EV.

Not just that but the vehicles are also significantly heavier meaning more energy overall needed to move them, more wear on the roads, more rubber pollution from their tires wearing down, more landfill waste from their wheel motors burning out fairly quickly and more hazardous waste from the creation and disposal of the battery packs.

Thank you. Very few appreciate the conversion losses of electric as electricity is transmitted over long wires, stepped down by transformers, converted to chemical energy, converted back to electricity, and converted to mechanical energy again. It's not very efficient.

You have to drive five hundred thousand miles with an EV to equalize the pollution of driving with gas 100k miles. Find an EV dealer that can give you a warranty of 20k miles; its impossible.

Super chargers require ungodly amounts of current. PV is nowhere near that potent

Yeah, I know, I get it. Its just a ironic place that you could put a covered charging station that would take some of the heat stress off of the car charging under the panels as well as generating extra power for the grid. If they really are all-in on this why would you not do this.

Like 3 people have pointed out you cant generate enough power from some panels over a car park. I know. It is fucking obvious (not giving you shit in particular). I just feel like everyone is missing the mark on this comment.

Shit man, I went to the Buc-ees that opened up in Fort Collins when it opened. I think I spent 2 hours just shopping the beef jerky section they have.

A realistic scenario is putting off a recharge because you don’t have a garage nor the funds to outfit your home to charge the ev you bought.

You have one charging station between your home and your commute. You keep skipping it because it’s summer and the two bays are occupied. 220 miles til empty. 170 miles til empty. 120 miles til empty. 70 miles til empty…..

That’s it. You have to recharge it. You wait two hours for a spot. You wait two hours to charge it. Your fellow fart sniffers hate you as much as you have hated everyone who was charging before you.

What a wonderful life. But at least you…..didn’t save the world at all. You just hurt yourself and (possibly) your family.

If the stats are to be believed, they are researching the next ICE car they purchase as they've realized the EV isn't all that its cracked up to be.

They go and buy bakery and other shit from the stations surrounding it so not only are they stupid for having an EV and needing to charge it for 40 min they also buy shit that makes them more stupid and fat. So in the end they spend more money than before.

I think the suv and 4x4 guys are planning the big camping trip where their buddies (The nigger, the shitskin and the gay guy are heading up to the mountain lake. His wife will be driving because it's rough scary terrain and they'll be able to power huge lights for the night time ball game and a big stereo system as well as a fridge for the beer all while wondering why can't people be as smart as them.
