I had to wear them when working on product on the wafer test floor at National Semiconductor, along with bunny suit, hair/beard net, mask, fingercots or gloves. I'd say I was out there a couple of hours a day on average. Nitride gloves were available for anyone with vinyl allergies. They paid engineers well for the area. I would have quit if I had to wear that shit all day. Oh wait! I quit anyway.

well, my job pretty much requires it for most of the shift. Won't tell you how much, but it's more than 20 an hour.

Depends how I have to wear it.

Vinyl gloves havent been a thing for ages. Almost everyone switched to nitrile.
I wore nitrile as a teenager cleaning windows. They weren't required, but they kept your skin & nails from being mangled by soap/methanol/water/dirt so most people wore them. They're some of the least bothersome PPE I've ever worn.
I still keep a bunch on hand for remodeling projects to protect my hands from blisters.
