I was thinking along the lines of removing the battery from the vehicle then returning the core an extra time. Also time value of money. It's going to cost more in a year when cheap battery dies. If I get same time per dollar spent (usually the case on batteries) then you'd be better spending the 200 for 2 years of service vs 100 for 1 year.
I get the duralast golds and they always bite the dust at 2.5 years, and I get them replaced under the 3 yr warranty.
Oh I see. Luckily for my Impala it isn't too difficult to get to the battery. I don't do a whole lot of my car work myself anymore, so I really don't mind wrenching on it a little bit here and there. Especially for something simple like this. It's actually kind of fun.
Already put it in, probably less than a half hour of actual work. If it lasts the two years the warranty covers I'll be happy with it.
