Three years is historically way too long. Why?

Because as I said, three years is not enough to fully know and discern if a partner is well prepared for a lifelong commitment. Five years is the bare minimum.

Disagree. Too many fertile years wasted

You don't normally meet and marry a woman after she is already of age to marry. We're talking a perfect world here; each one should judge accordingly with what they are dealing with.

I don't understand why you come on Poal and seek opinions and then just blow up everyone's opinion and explain your own. Obviously you already have your own answer to your question. You are just looking for someone to second the motion and dismissing everyone who does not.
