I've noticed Poal won't load for me if I forget to turn on my VPN.

That's probably your ISP who has Poal blocked.

I figured it could be that.

If you know how to ping an IP, disconnect your VPN and try to ping poal.co and see if it resolves the domain to an IP and responds.
