If you do want it to expand, why do you want that, and how would you go about getting new users?

If you do not want the Poal community to expand, why, and how would you keep the userbase at a sustainable level?

Early Poal was a very different place. Poal more than anything turned into a counter culture/ refuge from the end stages of Voat.

Why did Poal splinter from Voat/Phuks?

Boobs was a great man. You'd have really liked him. Another dude from that era was named Owlchemy. You'd have really liked him too

I knew both those guys, Boobs better than Owlchemy, but I miss them both dearly.

Justin, primarily. AOU in particular was very vocal of the way Puttitout/Justin ran Voat towards the end. If I remember correctly, Boobs set this place up right around the time of the great Voat outage. There was a period of like...2 weeks I think? Anyway, something happened behind the scenes with the website engine that caused the site to be there but not load. After 2 weeks, Justin came back and acted like nothing had happened. Then he started shadow banning people left and right who disagreed and were critical of him.

That was the period that Poal got most of its long term users. Can't speak for how many are still around. Most use alts. I think I'm one of the few without any kind of alt account.

That makes sense. I only quit that place after Putt/Chastain banned me for questioning him, although I do not remember what I was bitching about at the time.

Do you, or , remember the specific fission that led to Poal being created?

Boobs and I were really pissed on how voat was neglected. We tried to talk to Putt, but he ignored us up until he simply challenged us to make our own website. And here we are.

AOU would be in a better position to answer than I would. I wasn't really "active" in the fight at the time. I liked Boobs and figured whatever site he was running would be a good place. I didn't know AOU except from his fights with Justin. I didn't start to respect him like I do until after he took the reigns here.
