Compared to guaranteeing that they'll lose 11.5% and climbing of their life JUST to pay for socialized medicine?

In 2019, total health expenditure in Canada was expected to reach $265.5 billion, or $ 7064 per person. It is anticipated that, overall, health spending represented 11.5% of Canada’s gross domestic product (GDP)

Ok, now let's look at the same for the US.

https://www.cms.gov/Research-Statistics-Data-and-Systems/Statistics-Trends-and-Reports/NationalHealthExpendData/NationalHealthAccountsHistorical

U.S. health care spending grew 4.6 percent in 2019, reaching $3.8 trillion or $11,582 per person.  As a share of the nation's Gross Domestic Product, health spending accounted for 17.7 percent

So Americans spend more on health care and somewhere between 30,000-500,000 American per year (depending on which study) file bankruptcy for medical related bills.

American medical spending is voluntary. I can dramatically decrease my medical spending through diet and exercise. Canadian medical spending is compulsory. They get stuck with the bill no matter what.

You have taken your argument from facts to hypotheticals. Canadians could mandate that everyone within their borders only eat healthy food and exercise daily, thus dramatically decreasing their health care costs and then pass on the tax savings to their tax base. Not bloody likely, is it?
