It's been weeks since my boy Toby died in my arms. This old Viet Nam Marine has wept every day since his passing. He is near a beloved dog who died many years ago. My usual stoic manner has completely deserted me. At least my other animals are still here to console me. I am just glad that I was able to share time with such a unique animal. I guess I just don't deserve to have something like Toby in my life for any length of time. But he did nothing to deserve such an early death. That's all I've got...

So sorry, I also just lost my oldest cat who I bottle fed from 3 days old. Today I dig her grave. Stay strong man.

Omg. I'm so sorry for your loss. I also went through same thing 2x last year and it absolutely destroyed me. I bottle fed them from the moment they were born and it hurts like hell but I will never stop giving my love to strays

He was lucky to have someone who cared so much for him. It’s incredibly painful when we lose them, but in time you’ll recover and remember all the sweet moments, the love he gave you and all the antics that entertained you.

I’m sorry this is so hard, but that only shows how much you loved the little guy, and he knew. Your love and care meant everything to him, that you loved him in return was the best gift you could have given him.

Our love for the sweet, helpless animals makes their lives so much better.
