Same here. I've done two 1400-mile road trips in the past year and felt bad for the people I saw at the charging stations.
We were both commenting that road trips with an EV are not as easy as they are with ICE vehicles.
I don't see the connection. Trying to use a vehicle for something it wasn't designed for is an inconvenience, for sure. Like if I drive a dump truck to work it's hard to find parking, or if I try to drive an e-bike across Montana it probably won't go well. That's not an argument against the utility of dump trucks and e-bikes.
If you need to drive more than 250 miles without stopping for 20 minutes to refuel, an electric car is not the car for that trip.
