No, no it's not. We're well into a 30-40 year cooling phase of the 60-80 year PDO/AMO dominated climate cycle. This can, of course, be perturbed by asynchronous phenomena, such as the Tongan volcanic eruption in 2022, which increased stratospheric H2O content by 10% effectively instantly. The Tongan eruption also resulted in massive rainfalls in various parts of the world, such as Australia.
- Greenland/Antarctic ice sheet collapse: Not happening. The West Antarctic Ice sheet is receding, primarily due to volcanic activity under the ice sheet. The overall ice extent of Antarctica and Greenland is stable within normal variability. Ice sheet extent tends to oscillate out of phase in the two hemispheres (because it is driven by Solar forcing). This results in alarmists freaking out about either one collapsing at any one time, while ignoring that the other one is recovering.
- Thawing permafrost: Nothing unexpected as the world recovers from the Little Ice Age. Historic tree lines are significantly higher than the current permafrost line, these levels were present ~5000 years ago.
- Death of coral reefs: Literal fake news. For instance, the Great Barrier Reef has the highest corral coverage since measurements have been recorded.
- Collapse of Ocean circulation currents: This is a physical impossibility. The Ocean circulation currents are controlled by processes that are not effected at all by a ~1degree change in atmospheric temperature. Indeed, such a change is utterly insignificant to the Ocean temperature, where water has a heat capacity several orders of magnitude above air.
Every 5-15 years they say "the world is going to end in 12 years" or some such bullshit. There are actual pictures going back to the early 1900's of the "climate alarmists" saying this. Its just a cult.
I'm pretty sure they knew about the 60-80 year cycles before the latest climate lunacy started (in the late 80s). Their plan was to have all of their "mitigation" in place by the mid 2010's, and then they would use the subsequent natural cooling cycle to claim that their interventions had worked, and therefore you must give full control of everything to them. But, luckily for us, they are totally incompetent and it takes them decades longer to get anything done at all, so now, despite nothing that they say could change things having been done, indeed, we are using more "fossil fuels" than ever, we will now head into a cooling phase. This will not be explainable by their models. For now, they are relying on blatant data manipulation and outright fabrication (homogenization of datasets using urban readings to spread the highly localized urban heat island effect over wide areas, for instance). However, this can only hold temporarily as people who actually rely on knowing what the actual weather is (like famers) will very quickly realize that the predictions coming from the "official" organizations aren't worth shit.
Perhaps COVID was even an attempt at a backup plan, to try and install an authoritarian global government by another means, so that they would no longer need to worry about their wrong predictions (as no one would be authorized to think otherwise).
