I'm pretty sure they knew about the 60-80 year cycles before the latest climate lunacy started (in the late 80s). Their plan was to have all of their "mitigation" in place by the mid 2010's, and then they would use the subsequent natural cooling cycle to claim that their interventions had worked, and therefore you must give full control of everything to them. But, luckily for us, they are totally incompetent and it takes them decades longer to get anything done at all, so now, despite nothing that they say could change things having been done, indeed, we are using more "fossil fuels" than ever, we will now head into a cooling phase. This will not be explainable by their models. For now, they are relying on blatant data manipulation and outright fabrication (homogenization of datasets using urban readings to spread the highly localized urban heat island effect over wide areas, for instance). However, this can only hold temporarily as people who actually rely on knowing what the actual weather is (like famers) will very quickly realize that the predictions coming from the "official" organizations aren't worth shit. Perhaps COVID was even an attempt at a backup plan, to try and install an authoritarian global government by another means, so that they would no longer need to worry about their wrong predictions (as no one would be authorized to think otherwise).
