It's odd. Life pretty much consisted of work only. Like after the sun went down people switched TV on, grabbed a beer and relaxed? This is just stupid. From our point of view life and society surely were a lot simpler, but I bet not easier at all. Get a cold or some other illness that can be treated nowadays? Oh, looks you have to die because there's no treatment. Oh, it was the blacksmith who died? O oh, problems stacking up. Or you believe the earth isn't the center of the universe? Burn you shall. Oh and you forgot the aristocracy and therefor the leading class was a bunch of pedophiles and genetic dead ends and their slaves had to follow their rules. Anyway the comparison is somewhat interesting, but this post should be relocated from /facts to /whatever, because those are claims only and kind of hard to prove and hence hard to find conclusions on. I get the point though: life should be as easy as back then, so decisionmaking gets very simple again. We might get back there, when certain peolpe get what they want and start a nuclear war.
