My test day was 24 pushups, so they started me on this:

12
17
13
13
17+

I gotta say, I know I'm pushing it a little because I maxed myself yesterday, but this was a tough progression. Definitely had to psych myself up a little before the last set and play some music to get through it. I finished out my last set with 17 exactly (and one negative rep trying to get to 18 lol).

I am going to be sore tomorrow for sure.

I did have some suspicions that the progression might be a little bit out of whack. I've seen these types of workouts before and they always tend to promise great results in too short of a time frame.

Before starting this I was just doing 1 easy set of pushups 4-7 days per week in the morning, just to get a decent weekly volume without really fatiguing myself. Usually only increasing the set by 1 rep per week if I feel good about it, so like >10% increase/week. Easy.

This'll push me a little bit and if I don't fuck myself up maybe I'll go back to business as usual with about 15 extra reps per week.
