Good points there. It's one thing to be fooled by a compelling story of hope and goodness. It's a totally different thing to be fooled by one's own Dunning-Kruger affected delusions of genius. The FE believers can't come to terms with why their explanations of everything require elaborate and complex actions while the oblate spheroid Earth explanations are mostly stupidly simple and elegant. Probability alone would rule out FE based on its crazy complexity that is often at odds with its other mechanisms. But still the ignorant will believe it just to have the dopamine fix of being 'right' in their minds. Strange people they are.
I've been around the internet for a few years arguing with these dumb asses. It's funny to see them all use the "perspective" argument. Because it's the one concession I would give them about their stupid theory. Humans have a flawed perspective of reality, and that's why we have to trust science more than what our eyes see a lot of the time.
So every time I hear one of these fucks bring up "perspective" as a pro argument to the flat earth it makes me laugh. Pretty sure they took that argument of mine and try to spin it for their own benefit. I swear they're all jews or something.
Yeah their 'perspective' argument/explanation is really just them grasping at straws. They say we can't see coastal Lisbon, Portugal from coastal New York because of obstacles or some shit like that, but somehow we can see stars on the horizon just fine. It's laughable and they know it, but they still hold to their beliefs in FE. They are a strange lot.
Anyway, glad that you see through this and use your brain in logical ways. That's getting to be a rare thing these days.
