There's a video of it fading away. The guy that took it said he had to zoom in a lot and do it on a cold clear day so the moisture in the air didn't mess with the light.

I'm not convinced that there even is a pressure gradient. Something interesting to look into.
They don't. The guy that made that video was lying. People have set a laser gyro on a table and watched it do absolutely nothing. National Geographic was caught faking a video that "proved" a physical horizon. A guy tried to "prove" a 24 hour sun in Antarctica. It was exposed as a fake. People lie to defend the globe.
Well NASA gets like 70 million dollars a day so that's a pretty big incentive.
Isn't this fact in favor of flat earth? You would think that the same magnet that is attracted to the north pole would be equally repelled in the same direction by the south pole, on the globe model. But if the compass performs worse as you get further away from magnetic north, that would indicate that there isn't a south pole at all.
