I've never been much for multiplayer gaming so I haven't used team speak but if what you say is correct, this will be an interesting shift in online multiplayer gaming and I'd bet you will see some company step up and fill the void.
I still have a broken creativity bone.
Can I reference you by name in an article? It will be positive. I'm still not sure I'll write it, but I'm nearing an hour late and nothing seems to be coming out of my fingers.
If you mean my username go for it. I'm pretty sure you are a trustworthy guy.
Yes, your username.
Off to write an article!
It's mostly (from what I gather) going to impact hosting companies who were able to get a license that let them sell TS servers at low cost.
Basically, they entirely eliminated the ATHP (Authorized TeamSpeak Hosting Providers) license. To host it, or provide hosting for it, now requires you to pay per user and is pretty expensive. I've surmised that it's due to them wanting to make more money by being the major/only company to offer hosting for it.
The folks are also pretty sure that some of the larger ATHP companies will be grandfathered in and allowed to continue to resell.
