My guess is that latency will eventually reach the point where the effect is negligible - as light moves pretty quickly and more fiber continues to roll out. I'm not sure if it can ever be eliminated though I suspect it can be reduced significantly.

between fiber and algebraic tcp I think it could become almost unnoticable

I dunno? You still have the overhead and packets have time in transit. I don't know enough (read, anything) about algebraic TCP to opine.

A site to facilitate lawful sharing of music files, with some social aspects involved, might do well - and then being able to jam atop that might be a feature to work on. I'm not sure how to make that profitable, but I suspect there's a feature-set combination that might make it appealing enough for people to pay.
