Pentecostal scale I believe is what it is called it’s just 5 notes, I’ve done it at least 50 times today and most of them I didn’t get correct but towards the end my accuracy was getting better.
Edit I’ll youtube the natural scale once the kids are in bed and start learning to play it
Edit again: are talking the natural minor scale?
No, natural scale. It's just the whole notes in order - and you play it from low E to high E.
Pentatonic is very useful, but not yet. Learning the natural scale will help you understand why the fretboard works and why it works the way it does. I actually usually suggest people play it from the low E to the G on the third fret of the high E. It's good finger practice.
Is it the scale the guy played in the video on your article? I did try that one on the first day but i didn’t have much luck, I’ve got a little better finger control than I did a few days ago so maybe I should try it again.
Yes. The one with just the whole notes. E F G A B C D E F G A B C D E (then you might just as well play the F and G, seeing as you're there.)
Alternate picking.
When you figure it out, switch to playing it with your middle, ring, and little finger. Then alternate the fingering.
