LOL I made it to the 3 minute mark.

They suck!

Place your hand about halfway down the neck. Press the strings into the fretboard with one hand. Cut all the strings, one right after the other, above the pickups. Proceed from there.

When using your string winder (the tool they have in their right hand), go all the way around in circles, don't use it like a ratchet.

Replacing a broken string, back stage and in low light conditions, should only take a minute or two. That's just for one string, of course.

It's also MUCH faster with locking tuners.

Why is it faster with locking tuners?

"Locking turners" refers to the string locking into the tuner itself. What this means is that you just stick the string in there and it locks itself into place. Then, you just tune it. You don't need to really wind it.

I don't prefer them - but they'll do. They eliminate the need to wrap the strings. You can still wrap 'em, if you want. So, it's optional.

You end up with cramming it in and tuning up - which is about a wrap of a half a turn, saving time.

Ah makes sense, why do you not prefer them? I have to imagine they make things easier.
