Seems like someone needs to feature Stormy Monday and it's background in the future on another site.
What's funny is that I pondered the other site while writing that. My mind drifted in your direction, multiple times throughout the article.
First, I was like, "If anyone knows who he is, it's definitely COF! In fact, I'd be surprised if he didn't know who T-Bone is. If he doesn't, he's probably gonna find this fascinating."
Second was, "I should consider writing some stuff for the musicfor.us site - 'cause I think I could make some of these songs interesting."
Third was, "Shit... I have to schedule some articles."
Which is fine. I have free time today! So, I'm going to schedule a bunch of 'em sometime this afternoon/evening.
As the blueberry harvest is over and I don't need to be involved in any more of it, the farm taken care of, and the work in the garden has been scheduled, I actually have some blocks of time!
Hell, even the band is doing well and doesn't demand any of my time today. We don't even have a full-band practice until Saturday!
Don't tell , but I only practiced for about an hour today. I then did a few quick play-throughs of some material I'm thinking about adding to the band's repertoire and called it a day.
I'll claim that I'm not going to practice later - but I can't be certain of that. I may pick up a guitar later and EH mentioned she wanted to jam later - but that's not really what I mean when I say practice.
I did 4 articles today, so you have some more time. You probably need to check them and make sure I did everything right (but they are justified!!). Since I edit while submitting, it takes me a lot longer for each one. I can do more if you want.
We've gotta figure out a way to formalize this publication process. I'll explain! (It's what I do!)
I have a folder. It's called "Sources."
I have another folder. It's called "Complete."
After I do the basic editing and formatting and scheduling, I move the original file from "Sources" to "Complete."
So, if the ones you scheduled are already in my "Sources" folder, I'll have to find 'em and move them to "Complete." This will keep me from duplicating content.
I suppose the formal process could be as simple as you just letting me know and then I will know to update the folders appropriately. (Which you've just done - in letting me know.)
It's not overly complicated, or even a problem. In fact, I'm glad you did it!
But, I smoke a whole lot of pot! Like, unimaginable amounts of pot! This is why I keep things organized - 'cause I'd forget otherwise! LOL
The end result is that I'd feel pretty silly if I duplicated content.
As it is, and as an example, I actually have written so much for the playguitar.gq site that I don't even remember all the topics that I've written about.
Sadly, I'm not even kidding... I sometimes look through old articles that I've written and I'm like, "Oh, wow! I'd completely forgotten that I wrote that!"
Either way, so long as I know then it's easy enough for me to put my folder system back in sync!
There's even odds that I'd have seen the articles you scheduled and sat there for an hour trying to figure out when I had added 'em and why I didn't remember doing so! (So much weed gets smoked in my house...)
GASP! TheBuddha only practicing for an hour?!? I refuse to believe it. I've got 10$ that says you pick up a guitar at least twice before the day is over.
I'm not gonna take that bet.
I'd like to imagine that I won't play again - at least not practicing any more today. But, I don't have to make dinner tonight, so it seems pretty likely that I'll find a guitar in my hands.
It also does depend, a little, on how much time I spend adding, editing, and scheduling articles for the musicfor.us site. I'm pretty speedy, so I'll probably have time.
Also, the eldest hoodlum wants to jam tonight and we've not yet done our recording for tomorrow's guitar thread.
I'm trying to make this week a "down week." I was busy as all fuck, for the past month. I was supposed to be less busy by the 1st of September, but I've been busy pretty much every day this month.
I'm trying to take it easy and just do what I want today. It's pretty likely that I'll pick the guitar up again.
So, I'm not gonna take that bet. If you need $10, it's easier to just skip the bet and use PayPal!
