Well the day you are done with it you let me know first. I can’t wait to get back on two wheels and that would be a hell of a way to do it.

Alright, but I'll be asking fair market value. I'll be able to sell it and pay for another BMW, probably. My previous bike was an R 1200 GS and I really loved it. I'll probably get another one. I really don't like this bike as much as I should. It's just not a lot of fun. More often than not, it wants you to throw it around. It wants you to dig in to the corners - and it will, don't get me wrong. It's a fantastic bike for that. It pretty much sucks balls for everything but that. 'Snot a bike I'd want to commute to work in, even if it's a fairly short ride, or anything like that.

Who knows perhaps I’ll be able to afford fair market value, I wouldn’t know if I didn’t ask. I’ve always kind of been interested in getting a bmw bike as I loved my bmw car a lot. How do they compare to something like an r6 suspension wise?

Dunno? I've never been on an R6. My bike experience is pretty limited. Hell, I can sum it up in like five minutes.

My first bike was like a CB500 and I rode it 'cause it was cheap and then I had no bike for a lot of years. I think I sold my bike during the divorce, and it probably wasn't even running by then. I may have sold it even sooner, I don't really remember and don't miss it. I'd not get another bike for many years.

Then I got the Goldwing, which was a nice touring bike - but didn't suit me. It was also when I learned the joys of the wide variety of clothing you can get. They even tried to sell me a trailer to hook behind the motorcycle. There's a Honda accessory for everything. Still, it didn't suit me. Sold it.

I got my BMW, and it was wonderful but someone felt they could occupy the same lane as I could, and that they could do it at the same time. If I got the urge, I could take that down back roads and even over some trails, depending on how much work I wanted to put into it. That got put on a flatbed and I've never seen it since, insurance took care of it. I miss it.

So, I got the current bike 'cause it was a steal. It was fairly inexpensive and close enough for me to go pick it up. But... It's kind of terrifying and I can see why the guy sold it. It really needs a more expert rider than myself, to truly take advantage of it. I have no business owning that bike, none. I like it - but not that much. Someone who's a much better rider than I would probably like it more.

I'd love to truly open that bike up and unleash it, but I'd die. I can ride it but I am not skilled enough to really do it any justice. I'm just not gonna do wheelies down Main St. or stand on the front brakes. I'm also not going to get my knees within centimeters of the road, which the bike will happily do. Fuck that. I just don't have that kind of skill or experience. I'm pretty sure it'd kill me. It's only fun for a little while and I doubt I'll keep it for very long.
