Oh honestly I’ve seen some better days but things could definitely be much worse, so I’m content. Ive been irrisponsible for a month or so and I’m now paying the consequences. However I’ve got a shit job now so at least that should help.
On smashing though, I was just teaching my oldest about the states of matter and now I’m going to explain it again useing the word smashing at least twice it’ll be fun. I’ll bet she will even pay for attention if I explain it that way!
I've found using the descriptor that 'all things are made of matter and all matter loves to dance and wiggle' is pretty good for kids. Matter is always in motion, dancin' and wigglin' with the rhythm of the universe. Bits of matter smash into other bits of matter, 'cause they dance so energetically.
I've been recently asked to write a children's book. (It was my daughter's request, so I'm likely to do so.) If it reaches the point of acceptable fruition, I'll let ya know.
Please do, I for sure would buy that for my kids.
My current thinking is, and it's subject to change, just giving it away in PDF and then linking to places where people can order physical copies. Maybe I can con someone into illustrating it?
She tells me that she wants to give copies of said book (ideally, considering I haven't written it yet) to her patients. I can't really say I've ever thought of myself as a children's author, but I'm sure I can forgo the profanity and sexual innuendo long enough to write a small book for little people.
This has absolutely not been formalized and I absolutely won't even begin to take any serious interest in it until winter, at the earliest.
