Once again, it's time for the FNGT!

If you don't know how this works, . That link will take you to another site to give you some additional information and tell you about some of our off-site features. That's also the site where we will host the weekly guitar threads, should Poal go down.

NOTE: That site is by invitation only. If you want an invite, and you're a regular participant, then just ask COF, Crazy, or TheBuddha.

If you do know what's going on, you probably don't need to click that link - but you may want to, to make sure you know of the other features, such as the archive or a separate forum that's invite only.

There were many laughs and so much free-flowing knowledge if you knew where to look.

Some of what we were doing wasn't even illegal - 'cause they hadn't gotten around to making laws yet. It was all still so new.

Instead of visiting IBM's website, you'd login to IBM's mainframe and download their catalog. But, it was their mainframe. So, you had access to everything on it if you knew how to get in. And, back then, that meant even things like their building's control system. As in, you could stop an elevator or shit like that.

It was a great time of learning. The idea of needing to secure your computer meant having a guard at the door. Old Man Norton hadn't even invented his anti-virus software back then.

It was truly the Wild West of computation.
