Many years ago, when digital currency was brand new, I was gilded and gifted 1 bitcoin for a smartass comment I made on reddit. I didn't have a wallet, or even understand what bitcoin was at the time, so I didn't do anything with it, and eventually forgot about it...till a friend pointed out a couple of years ago that 1 bitcoin was worth $30g. I went back and tried to find it. I guess it just disappeared.
I mined like 24 of 'em when they were brand new. I had no fucking clue how to deal with the taxes so I gifted them to EFF when someone pointed out they were worth like $400 each. I was able to write that off, which made me happy. I'd actually forgotten about them and had to revive an older computer to get them back. Fortunately, they were in a wallet and I'd used a retardedly simple password that I use for unimportant shit. It was years after I'd mined them, so I was surprised I even still had the computer.
It's at 48k but it hit 58k per bitcoin. I guess it's time for all the naysayers to admit they were wrong. It ain't going nowhere but up.
