Yeah drums pretty much sit in the center of the mix anyways. So a stereo track isn't really needed
We save a ton of time that way. It's easy to EQ and adjust volume levels. It takes a few minutes if you know what you're aiming for.

Yup... We don't even keep the individual tracks (the stubs, in some lingo). We don't have room or organization for all of that, so they're usually deleted pretty much immediately. If we count all the stubs as individual tracks, Biff says we've been in the 50's or maybe low 60s. Stuff like the special songs we do, like for holidays or to celebrate, are often pretty complicated. I might lay down multiple drum tracks even and they'll get blended together. I might have six guitar parts and they're scattered all over the place so I may actually end up recording 8 or 9 individual tracks instead of just sitting there trying to time it perfectly with headphones on. It really depends on how complex the piece is.
