I just looked on craigslist and there was really nothing in my area at all. One zildjian ride cymbal for $150

Well, that's no fun. Hell, you might even find an entire kit for good money.

Yeah that is exactly what I will do. Thats how I find everything. I am not in a rush. I will look until I find quality at a good price then I will get them. Thats how I buy most things

a drummer friend of mine stopped over and said he had the urge to play some drums, do I mind if he comes in and plays my drums. Hell yeah, come on in, he played them for a while, then he said he is going to pick up some better cymbals from this other drummer friend and bring them over here for me, apparently this problem is going to solve itself.

It's amazing how things come together like that.

I suspect that I'll end up with a ton of gear if I build my own studio outbuilding and let friends use it. Hell, I could probably just provide the space and it'd slowly fill up over time. All at low-cost or no-cost, 'cause we're musicians like that.

I just found out that the ice is out on the big lake back home. The ice is out...

It's April 10th. I'd expect the ice to be out on about May 15th.

It's almost 80° back home - and it's warmer than it is here. So, if I'm gonna miss a winter, at least I picked a good one to miss.
